Wild

Wild FIre

This morning's sunrise was wild! But before the vivid colour and light, the anticipation was almost as intense. With a gap in the clouds over the horizon and low clouds and rain moving in from the west it was a race to see if the sun would make it up in time. In the end it was the perfect combination of filtered light and low cloud that created one of the best sunrises of the year so far.

There wasn't much in the way of waves at Queenscliff this morning; just the occasional high tide runner either side of the rip. Perhaps the phantom swell might have finally faded... maybe it's still present further up The Beaches.

Today's photo's are from the 20 minutes of glorious light either side of sunrise. These kind of mornings when the light is so vivid and contrasty, it's hard believe the light that the camera has captured. Enjoy
