Polished Chunks
It's big out to sea today! The Port Authority Bouy is reading significant wave heights at over five and a half metres with outliers as high as ten. It's a smorgasbord of offerings for surfers; everything from 2-3 footers in the southern corners, unruly beachbreaks, heavy slabs or raw open ocean bombies (maybe too windy). Whatever your appetite, you'll find something to your taste.
I had a look at a small crew running of the gauntlet of a hollow beachie at North Steyne. There were a couple of wide open tubes to be had if you had the right degree of nouse and finesse. Out off Freshwater Beach two surfers were paddling around monsters peaks; I originally thought they were destined for the Queenscliff Bombie but they seemed to settle for outside Freshie. As the morning progressed the slab under the carpark started to show form. Guessing most of the surfing community's attention will be focus there for the next couple of hours. Good day for it.
Have a fun out there, where ever you end up.
