:: Welcome

Waves are back this morning and the welcome was a warm one from the grommets down at the Queenscliff corner.  The place was already swarming with kids filling their before-school-wave-quota when I swam out 15 minutes before sunrise.  And you can bet your lunch-money that they'll be back again as soon as school finishes this afternoon. There's 2-4ft of SSE swell pushing in and a cold offshore wind grooming it.  It's ok but the high tide was making things just a little rippy and funking in the corner.  Worth keeping an eye on it as it might get better as the tide drops into the afternoon.

We're back to sunshine and 22 degrees tomorrow. Should be a gorgeous day so make some plans to get outside.  Next week I'm going to be coming to you from The End Of The Road, Tahiti where I'll be covering the Billabong Pro.  Tune in for action from the world's heaviest break - it's going to be cooking! :: Murray
