:: Waking

It's been a sleepy lead up to the Billabong Pro Tahiti at Teahupoo.  We've had really small and constantly wind effected waves since most of the pro's arrived here a few days ago.  The boys have still been surfing everyday but it's not the Teahupoo that we've all come to expect. Hard to believe that the same small section of reef was producing the death-defying surfing of the Code Red swell of 2011.  Remember that day!! Today's the final day before the official competition waiting period begins and there's a fresh pulse of West swell due to start fill in throughout the afternoon; there were hints of the new swell late yesterday afternoon.   If the forecasters are right, we should see Round One in the water first light Friday morning (Tahitian time). Stay tuned - Teahupoo is waking! :: Murray
