Just a small bumpy Nor-East wind swell on offer this morning.  There's sunshine by the bucket load and all the good vibes that come with the One Wave crew and their Fluro Friday antics.  Perfect conditions for taking the new Nikon AW1 for a splash. This mornings photos are all shot with the little compact camera at the bottom of the email.  It feels kind of weird to walk into the ocean carrying a camera without a housing - I was freaking out actually!  But the little unit is fully waterproof and apparently shockproof to resist a drop from 2m  although I didn't want to test that part!.

You can shoot on auto, semi-manual as well as full manual although the controls are a little hard to get to if your swimming in the surf.  This morning I shot on aperture-priority in jpeg mode.  It shoots RAW files as well but so far Lightroom or photoshop don't seem to have up-dates that can deal with the NEF files.

Too much technical stuff?  Sorry! I'll let the photos do the talking from now.
