For the past six months I've been working on a photographic project to to capture the ocean pools of the Northern Beaches.  Commissioned by Hotel Steyne, the Pool Project has given me the opportunity to spend some quality time roaming The Beaches creating unique frames of each of the 14 oceans pools between Cabbage Tree Bay and Palm Beach. Each pool lays amongst its surrounds of native sandstone, sand and ocean projecting concrete and hard angles into the natural landscape.  Some embrace and incorporate, while others protrude against the grain.  The pools are iconically Sydney, and there's a strong human history and culture to go with each which I'm looking forward to learning more about.

Last night at a dinner hosted by Cascade Brewery, Hotel Steyne unveiled the first stage of the project.   Much more to come.
