With the Australian Open of Surfing less than 3 weeks away we're going to see the performance level of surfing go through the roof on our little stretch of sand.  The top WQS competitors are going berserk these days and they'll blow minds then they rock up here in a couple of weeks for the Open!! The local contingent have been stepping up and refining their acts for the local wildcard surf-off.  There's one place left in the draw and the best 8 surfers from Queenscliff Boardriders Club and North Steyne Boardriders will compete for the single slot.  You get the feeling like everyone is stepping up their performance level in the water and the surf-off is going to be a killer event for the locals.  Local ex-CT surfers Dayyan Neve and Richie Lovett taking on young guns Ben Hamilton, Ollie Ingham, Sam Page, Luke Cheadle for a single spot.  Epic!

There's a couple of waves about this morning with 3ft+ of ENE swell shaping up nicely with just a slight onshore bumping the faces.  Plenty good for snapping and boosting some performance surfing. I'm out there refining my retro fish act!  See ya!
