:: Onshore Surprise

Beautiful sunrise greeted the early risers this morning and although the onshore was still present, it had eased enough to put some order back into the Tasman.  The ENE swell has some punch to it and it's shaping up pretty well on the sand from Queensie to South Steyne.  If you don't mind a bit of onshore wind in your hair there were plenty of clean faces and a surprising amount of fun to be had out in the water this morning.  Not many takers either for the middle of Summer.

Enjoying the water temp right now?  According to the Manly Hydraulics Lab Sydney Offshore Sea Surface temperature is currently sitting at around 23 degrees which is about as warm as you could expect over the Summer months in Sydney.   Any warmer and you'd think you're in Queensland.
