:: Moonset

Full moon always creates a bit of a stir - dog's howling, big tides, and bright moonlight streaming through the window keeping us up at night; always seems to cook up a swell too. There's been some superb moonrise's the last couple of evening and this morning the full moon hung low in the West setting just after sunrise - good viewing!

The Nor-East swell we're expecting seems to be running a little late.  There wasn't much of an increase this morning, just a mix of NE wind swell and perhaps the odd longer period set.  Was wobbly and challenging despite the light offshore wind.

Big Winston, the same storm that's about to light up the East Coast of Australia with copious swell, was the largest cyclone to ever cross the Fijian Islands.  News from Fiji is showing some incredible damage in the aftermath.  Red Cross and Save The Children  along with other aid organisations are on the ground picking up the pieces -  Spare a thought for the people of Fiji and please support if you can.
