Waves turned on this morning for the first day of the main events at the Australian Open of Surfing. The grom's had to fight some solid battles over the weekend in 4-8ft super challenging conditions. Well done to local kid Winter Vincent for surviving and taking out the U14's!

This morning's free-surf was a high-performance affair, the line up was chocked full of some of the best men and women surfers on the planet. Good to see the local serving up something worthy and rippable for the out-of-towners.
