I woke up this morning thinking it was going to be raining, onshore and not worth throwing the wetsuit on.  I reckon most people thought the same because it was dead quiet on the beach and only 5 people out between Queenscliff and North Steyne.  Not a bad crowd on any day in Manly. Given the forecast for gusty conditions you'd be forgiven for sleeping in but there's no sign of the wind; in fact it's got lighter all morning.  It's a light Westerly right now but it is supposed to blow from the South West up to  50km/h late in the afternoon.   Maybe the weather's running late today.

If you get a chance get yourself in the water - there's 4ft of peaky East swell and as clean as I've seen it in a while. ∆ Murray
