When dark clouds in the West combine with bright filtered dawn sunshine you get a quality of light that pops with over-saturated colour and super high contrast.  It's kind of like those over-the-top filters you get on Instagram only this is happening for real right in front of your eyes.  This morning the combination of light and dark was spectacular! There's a light Southerly blowing and 2 feet of clean East swell, perfect for a cruisey dawn paddle.  It's a little inconsistent but with warm water and a beautiful morning happening all round you, the wait's almost as good as the ride!
