There's been a fair amount of drama in Manly over the weekend with a police boat coming to grief on the rocks under Queenscliff Headland on Saturday morning. What remains of the boat was still lodged firmly on the rocks this morning and there's been all manner of flotsam and jetsam and diesel fuel floating through the line up.   Let's hope they can get it removed quickly and safely.

Today's my first official day back on the job.  It's been a good break with a fair amount of sunshine, a little rain, a couple of quick trips out of town, a neat run of swell, but mostly it's just been hanging about in Manly. It's a good time of year to be in Sydney, most of January feel pretty festive.

There's a couple of little Nor-East wind swell runners out there today and light winds.  Catch you on the beach in 2016!
