:: Canines & The King

Today's photo's are a bit of a random collection.  As you'd probably aware Kelly Slater breezed into town over the weekend to help proceedings in dedicating the stretch of beach and ocean from Manly to Freshwater as a World Surfing Reserve.  The Manly-Freshwater is Australia's first area recoginised as a World Surfing Reserve and it was quite fitting to have The King on hand along with federal and state members of Parliament, the Governor of NSW and Mayors of Manly Warringah Councils to mark the significance of this dedication.  In classic surfer style, Kelly was late but it took the edge off a pretty formal occasion.  After all, it's just surfing! The other set of photos are from yesterday's "every man and his dog" session at First Point Noosa.  The Noosa Festival of Surfing kicked off yesterday.  We'll keep you posted on the action from up north.  Got to Run, Manly young ripper Jack Entwistle is hitting the water any moment.
