I heard it's been pumping in Manly over the weekend; two days of offshore winds and solid clean waves. I hope you managed to score yourself a slice of that. I shot the Wipeout Dementia Surf Off over the weekend which featured PM Tony Abbott as well as a host of local old boys. Believe it or not, the PM jagged wave of the day, a foamy overhead double-up which earned him a 6.5 - crazy! Richard Grellman (aka The Chairman) and teams raised $90k for Dementia research and scored a heap of awareness raising publicity. Big congratulations to all involved! I've been up on the Gold Coast since Sunday. It's not classic Gold Coast here but the points are fun city - little 2 foot sand bottom point peelers in warm sunshine and tepid water. Hard to resist he water up here!
