I was up early sniffing around for the best of what the day had to offer; checked Winki, Deadmans, The Bower, Queensie, North Steyne.  With the exception of Deadmans, all spots had a wave and looked a treat with 3-5ft of swell and a light Westerly keeping them groomed. High-tide was looming at 9am so I made the call to go surf and shoot later.  Bad call; I blew it!  By the time I had the lens out the wind had swung and was blowing 15kts straight cross-shore.  It didn't look half as pretty as it looked early.   Still, there was fun waves around, a few sneaky tubes and ramps pushing into the wind.
