What a bizarre morning - One minute the Premier of NSW paddles past and says g'day, the next moment I'm ducking for cover as the former Prime Minister hurtles towards me. WTF? I'm reading Bob McTavish's book at the moment and it's hard to grasp the shift from the surfer as grubby outcasts to business and political power brokers. What next - surfing in Parramatta?

It was another cracker morning on the water. The swell's dropped a tad but it's real smooth and glassy and you'd have enjoyed the immersion and warm morning sunlight regardless. The swell is on a downward trend over the next couple of days; that is of course, unless you're in Victoria.
