t's not really doing it out there today. The relatively short period swell doesn't have much order to it and the Southerly wind is cutting into it. Manly's pretty straight, Curly's wild and Dee Why Point had the odd slab if you could get in early enough. There were a few guys chasing the bombie's off Long Reef but it was 'victory at sea' conditions. The best pick might be tucked up in the corner at Manly. The Rip Curl Pro final just ended in a tie! First time ever in a final apparently. Mick Fanning was given the title on account that he had the highest wave score; tough way to win and even tougher way to lose. Might be time to introduce extra-time or a "golden wave" in this new-age of the WSL?
