The Australian Open of Surfing is only 5 days away from launch and it's shaping up to be bigger than 2012 already. Surfers on the competitor's list include World Championship Tour surfers Julian Wilson and John John Florence plus legendary skaters Bob Burnquist and Lance Mountain skating the Beach Bowl events. Word on the streets is Dane Reynolds will be making an appearance in the main draw although I haven't seen anything official as yet. Fingers crossed! Grommet Matt Banting was on fire in 2012 winning both the Junior and Open divisions while super athlete Sally Fitzgibbons took at the ladies title.
